We see the fire of God as a picture of God’s purity, power, and presence.
The power of God falls where there is structure, sacrifice and sincerity in the people.
We cannot prove that God is alive to a lost and dying world without it costing us anything. People serve God out of convenience. You should not have more loyalty for an institution than you do for inspiration.
Before we prove that God is alive to society by a bloody bullock, we have to prove that God is alive to ourselves by a brook. You will never prove anything to anybody until you believe it yourself.
Find the place of God’s will for your life, and stay there until He asks you to move. There is no permissive version of God’s will for our lives. His will is good, acceptable, and perfect for us.
Find, believe, and act on God’s promises for your life. Don’t live in the past, or on the testimonies of others to carry out God’s work. Prove that He is alive to yourself, and allow God to use you now. Step out on God, and quit living on “granny’s” faith. There ought to come a time when you have some stories of your own of how God stretched out His arm, reached down, heard your plea, saw your situation and met your need. Prove to fellow-Christians that God is alive by your faith.
Your life should always be a blessing to others. We need a generation of givers.
Our futures hinge on our obedience to God and the godly counsel and preaching He’s provided us. Live by faith. Trust God. As long as we can figure everything out, we get the credit. When something happens so big that you can’t figure it out, God gets the credit.
The real proof of our faith is in the following generation. There has got to be something real and tangible for our posterity. Don’t try to bypass God’s plan. We cannot begin to reach the world until we’ve reached ourselves.
